Technology today

Technology is a massive part of our lives in the 21st century. Almost every aspect of our lives involves technology from our cell phones to the cars you drive in. There is countless pros to using technology but with those pros comes cons. The more advanced technologically becomes, the more people begin to depend on computers and other forms of technology for everyday existence. This means that when a machine breaks or a computer crashes, humans become almost disabled until the problem is resolved. This kind of dependency on technology puts people at a distinct disadvantage, because they become less self-reliant. People also in today's society have become too focused on technology and don't get involved in reality and the people around them. It also has created this barrier between people which isn't there when speaking face to face. People find it a lot easier to be rude and offensive behind computer screens when they aren't confronted with the person in real life. This sense of false security has produced a generation  of people who find it normal and okay to offend people as long as they don't have to say it to their face.I personally believe that even though this may be true technology has far more advantages than disadvantages. Technology allows us to become more efficient in the things we do. For example it allows scientist to easily solve problems that would normally take long periods of time to solve which with the time saved could be used to make new discoveries. Another example is that education has been greatly advanced from computers. Students are able to learn on a global scale without ever leaving their classrooms.These are only just a few out of countless examples on how technology is beneficial to today's society. I feel that technology shouldn't be the thing that people blame for not being active or being rude. It is not  technology that is doing these things,it is the people behind the screen that choose to do these things.I use technology every single day of my life from when I wake till I go to sleep. I find technology interesting and I am intrigued on how stuff actually works. Even though I use technology so much I don't blame it for my problems I find time to be active and social in real life and don't hide behind a computer.
